Sharks' Kim Scheidegger retires - Hunziker takes break
NLB -EHC Basel Sharks' defenseman Kim Scheidegger has decided to end his career as a professional ice hockey player despite a valid contract with the Sharks until 2015. Scheidegger only appeared in 31 games this season due to injuries.

Furthermore, 22-year-old Remo Hunziker, who played his first season with the National League B team this year, will also not be part of the Sharks' roster for season 2014/15.
The forward has decided to fully concentrate on the last year of his apprenticeship and leave out the upcoming NLB championship.
