In early February, the Finnish website Jatkoaika first announced Jalonen's new contract after various rumors. The same day, however, the Bears' CEO Marc Lüthi denied this rumor, insisting that no contract had been signed.
Now, however, the 56-year-old has reportedly signed his new deal. More details, however, about the contractual duration are not available. Jalonen will thus replace Lars Leuenberger, who confirmed today that he will leave Bern at the end of this season. (bsc)
