As the SIHF announces, they have taken notice of the controversy regarding Lausanne HC's majority shareholder and have already initiated investigations into the matter a couple of days ago.

The involved parties (meaning the representatives of the shareholders and the Board of Directors) will be summoned to guarantee to the league that Lausanne HC SA has maintained all obligations regarding their license for the current season. Furthermore, they have to hand in a declaration stating that they have followed the statutes and regulations of the SIHF/NL.

Lausanne HC might be at risk of losing their license, as it was more or less confirmed (see earlier report) that their majority shareholder is Hugh Quennec, who also owns the majority of the shares of Genève-Servette HC. This could put the club in danger, as one club is not allowed to own another team. However, it is not specified in the regulations how this applies to a single person holding the majority shares of two teams. (mso)
