It was reported earlier this week that EHC Biel seems to be interested in his services. Furthermore, there has been some speculations that he will join HC Ambrì-Piotta as of next season. Now, Kostner wants to prove himself in Lugano to earn a new contract.

In mid-November, Lugano's team manager Roland Habisreutinger confirmed to RSI that he had not offered a contract extension to Kostner. A few days later, Kostner himself stated that he will likely not continue to play for Lugano after this season.

Kostner's contract with Lugano expires at the end of term. He joined the Bianconeri in 2009 and made his debut for their first team in 2011. Ever since then, he has appeared in 202 NLA games for Lugano. (bsc)
