Le Matin already reported this past Tuesday that Kienzle would join Fribourg as of next season. The same evening, Patrick Della Valle (Ticinonews) wrote that HC Lugano will indeed not offer a contract extension to their 27-year-old defenseman.
Kienzle is a product of the GCK Lions' organisation and ever since joining Lugano in 2010, he has played a total 282 games for them scoring eight goals and 47 assists. (bsc)
