Although Reber still says that Langnau has not issued contract offers to Reto (photo), 39, and Jan von Arx, 37, he does not clearly deny that they might still be an option: "I cannot categorically say yes or no," he says in an interview with the Berner Zeitung. According to the von Arx's agent Rolf Simmen, also retiring is an option: "Right now everything is open; it all comes down to the question if they want to keep on playing."
Clear is, however, that seven players definitely have to leave the Emmental: goalie Jonas Müller, defensemen Julien Bonnet, Marc Rüegg, and André Lakos, as well as forwards Alban Rexha, Remo Schlapbach, and Alexandre Tremblay. Still according to the Berner Zeitung, Rexha will in all likelyhood sign with HC Red Ice, all the others are still looking for a new team. (tme)
