Both players, who agreed to the transfer, still have a contract for the upcoming season and will now play out the remaining time of their deals with their new clubs.

Ryan Gardner, 37, leaves the capital after five years with SC Bern, in which he could celebrate the Swiss Championship title (2013) and the win of the Swiss Ice Hockey Cup (2015), scoring a total of 207 points (86 goals, 121 assits) for the Bears.

Timo Helbling played the past two seasons for HC Fribourg-Gottéron since joining the Dragons from EV Zug in 2013 (27 points in 105 games). The 33-year-old also spent some years overseas, including eleven appearances in the NHL. (lcu)
