NLA - As La Regione reports, HC Lugano's Brett McLean will no longer be part of the club next season. In tonight's end-of-season festivites, president Vicki Mantegazza gave him a parting gift, as one can see on their Facebook page.

The 36-year-old forward has been part of the Bianconeri's organisation since the 2011-12 season and has played in 181 games for them, scoring 131 points (49 goals, 82 assists).

His contract would have been up for extension this summer, but the club obviously decided to go into another direction. According to Ticinonline, the Canadian does not yet know where he will spend the upcoming season: "I do not know what the future holds, but Lugano will always stay in my heart. The years I spent at the Resega were the best." (mso)
