Unwilling to play in the AHL any longer, defenseman Steve McCarthy is currently out of contract and would like to return to Switzerland, as the Tages Anzeiger writes. However, his former team, the ZSC Lions, have signed the Swedish international Henrik Tallinder only yesterday and although his agent is working the Swiss market, there is no offer yet from any other team.
Since leaving the ZSC Lions at the end of last season, McCarthy only played three games for the Springfield Falcons in the AHL (no points).
