As Fribourg-Gottéron announces, the 19-year-old Melvin Nyffeler will wear the dragon-jersey in the upcoming season 2014/15. He will form a goalie-duo with Benjamin Conz, 22. Only in January, Nyffeler has signed a three-year contract with Genève-Servette.

"It's a challenge for him to sign a one-year contract with us, although he had a three-year contract with Geneva," Gottéron's manager Raphaël Berger is being quoted by journalist Grégory Beaud (20 minutes) on Twitter. "Benjamin Conz will be our starting goalie, but we realized last year that Kevin Huber did not put as much pressure on him as Simon Rytz the season before."

The arrival of Nyffeler also has consequences for goalie youngster Ludovic Waeber, 17, who has signed his first professional contract with Fribourg-Gottéron. He will practice with the team but play with the Elite-A juniors of HCFG until further notice.
