As EV Zug did not intend to extend Shedden's contract, which would have expired in 2015, the management came to the decision that it was already time now to go into a new direction and terminate their head coach's contract as of now.

For the upcoming placement round, current assistant coach Waltteri Immonen and junior coach Leo Schumacher take over. The search for a new head coach for next season has already begun.

Jakub Horak, on the other hand, will finish his work with EV Zug until the end of the season but then will have to leave the Bulls as a consequence of their disappointing 10th place finish this regular season.

His successor is already known: SC Langenthal's Reto Kläy will be EVZ's new team manager starting next season. SCL meanwhile announces that they will fill the vacant post of Kläy with the hiring of Langenthal native and veteran defenseman Noël Guyaz as of May 2014.
