Kousa is suffering from severe hip problems and has to undergo surgery. A first attempt of treating his pain with steroid injections was not successful.
Kousa joined the Bears in November of 2015. In eleven games for them, the 27-year-old defenseman put up three goals and two assists for a total of five points. (bsc)
