Medical Report

As HC Fribourg-Gottèron's head coach Gerd Zenhäusern tells La Liberté, he is not yet sure if Julien Sprunger can return for the first games of the new year as he has not yet fully recovered from his shoulder injury. However, he is hoping that his captain will be ready on time.

Good news, on the other hand, for Benjamin Plüss and Michaël Loichat, who are recovering from concussions and could both be able to return to play for the games against Lausanne HC January 8 and 9.

Michaël Loichat has yet to play a game this season after suffering a concussion during last year's playoffs. Loichat has returned to full practice, however, as Zenhäusern explains, there is no hurry: "It's still too early. We are not in a test phase. As long as I have options for the position of the 13th forward, there is no use in rushing things." (lcu)
