Despite various rumors, EHC Biel's team manager Martin Steinegger is not in a hurry to sign a fourth import player, as he tells the Journal du Jura. He denies that they are close to signing any contract.

"We are certainly working on it and looking for an import player from overseas; that's all I can say. At the moment, there is nothing concrete," Steinegger adds. They have to be convinced that a player is a good fit for the team before they sign a contract.

According to the same source, the Canadian forward Kael Mouillerat, who played for the Pittsburgh Penguins and their AHL affiliate team last season, could be another candidate. Last week, La Regione reported that the 30-year-old Canadian forward Kris Versteeg might also be an option.(bsc)
