National League

The National League club is again going with a foreigner behind the bench. Roster decisions are delayed until they have made their pick.

Still on the search for their new head coach, there appear to be only non-Swiss candidates left, the Solothurner Zeitung writes. Among them are names such as IK Oskarshamn's Martin Filander, Färjestad BK's Tomas Mitell, and Jukka Jalonen, who will step down as Finnish national team coach after the World Championship in May.

Last year, Biel had waited to pick a coach until the end of June. "This time, we want to conclude the matter more quickly, but without rushing", team manager Martin Steinegger tells the Journal du Jura. "We need someone who can work with both experienced and younger players, and who also wants to develop the latter."

Roster decisions regarding an additional import and the future of Ramon Tanner will be sidelined. "I am trying to delay things so that the new coach can also have his say", Steinegger states.
