The SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers announce the signing of SC Bern's 23-year-old netminder Janick Schwendener for the upcoming two seasons, until 2018. Moreover, the club has extended the contracts of three players.

The 30-year-old netminder Michael Tobler, Canadian-Swiss forward Ryan McGregor, 24, as well as the one year younger defenseman Patrick Blatter have all agreed on a contract extension until the end of the 2016-17 season.

Janick Schwendener, who is a product of HC Davos, played on loan with Thurgau, Geneva and the Kloten last season before he joined SC Bern on a one-year contract last summer. With the Bears, he has appeared in a total of 18 games this season so far, in which he had a Goal Against Average of 3.09 and a Save Percentage of 89%. (rlu)
