Jeannin also had an offer on the table to join HC Universté Neuchâtel as their new head coach and Gil Montandon's successor but the 39-year-old opted for a position in the junior development.

Jeannin had announced his retirement from professional ice hockey this spring after not being able to play in a game since January 2014 due to concussion issues. The former Swiss international has appeared in 898 career NLA games, scoring 202 goals and 430 assists for the ZSC Lions, HC Davos, HC Lugano and HC Fribourg-Gottéron. (lcu)
