Two days after SC Bern celebrated their championship win on the 'Bundesplatz', the club confirms that they have signed Kari Jalonen to a two-year contract. He will thus stay with the Bears until 2018.

The 56-year-old has been the head coach of Finland's national team since 2014 and will also lead the Finns in this year's tournament in Russia. As for his assistant, it will indeed be Ville Peltonen, who is well known in Switzerland as he played for HC Lugano from 2003 to 2006. Current assistant coach Marco Bayer will return to his position as head coach of the Elite A. (mso)
