Chris McSorley has confirmed that Floran Douay will indeed stay with the Grenats and hopes that the young forward will play the entire season with the first team. 19-year-old defenseman Joey Dupertuis will play with HC Ajoie this year via B-license.

Furtermore, Tom Pyatt's option has been activated and he will also stay on for another season. Matt D'Agostini, on the other hand, has agreed to a two-year contract and will be part of the Grenats' organisation until the end of the 2016-17 season. Both forwards are in possession of an out-clause for the NHL. However, it will only be valid for a short time period over the summer.

Morover, 26-year-old defenseman Frédéric Iglesias has signed a one-year contract extension and will remain an Eagle for the time being. As for defenseman Paul Ranger, GSHC and him have mutually agreed to dissolve the contract and he is thus free to look for another team.

The situation of Alexandre Picard, though, remains a difficult one, says McSorley: "For the moment he is still under contract with GSHC and we are well aware of his popularity with fans. But as a manager, I sometimes have to make unpopular choices. For now, we'll talk with him, but nothing has been decided about his possible future with us."

The 53-year-old team manager also adds that they will sign a fifth import-player if the opportunity arises and they have the necessary budget, but they want to "ensure that the future of the club is guaranteed long-term and therefore do not take unnecessary financial risks." (mso)
