After Lennart Petrell and Matt Lombardi, Genève-Servette HC signs another ex-NHL-player. The 29yr-old Canadian defenseman Ian White has signed a contract until the end of the season.

Ian White will join the Eagles in the upcoming week. The 29yr-old has played a total of 525 NHL-games (47 goals, 142 assists) so far for the Toronto Maple Leafs, The Calgary Flames, the Carolina Hurricanes, the San Jose Sharks and - most recently - the Detroit Red Wings.

After last season, White has not obtained a new contract in the National Hockey League and has now decided to revive his career in Geneva. Servettes coach Chris McSorley is happy about his decision: "He was highly recommended to us by our contacts in North America and everyone thinks that he can be a dominant defender in Switzerland."
