The 0-4 being the best result against Canada ever for a Swiss women's national team at a World Championship is probably a small consolation. Goaltender Andrea Brändli stopped a total of 61 shots from the Canadians. The Swiss only managed to get ten shots on goal.

Forward Melodie Daoust scored twice for the Canadian team. Renata Fast and Rebecca Johnston scored the other goals.

For Switzerland, one final challenge remains: winning the bronze medal. For this, they will have to defeat the Finns, to whom they lost their preliminary game by a score of 0-6. The puck drops tonight at 21:30 CET.
