Head coach Thierry Paterlini cut four more players from the roster that now consists of three goalies, seven defenders and 13 forwards.

Giancarlo Chanton (Niagara IceDogs/OHL), Yanick Stampfli (EV Zug), Yves Stoffel (EV Zug) and Mathieu Vouillamoz (Genève-Servette HC) will not take part in the upcoming tournament.

Switzerland will start into the World Championships on December 26 against Kazakhstan. As per Lars Weibel, Director National Teams, it is this year's goal to reach the quarterfinals: "It will be a hard piece of work. I am sure that the team will tackle and master this challenge with passion and conviction."
