WOMEN'S LEAGUE

After a two-week break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the championship of the highest women's league in Switzerland will continue this weekend.

The HC Ladies Lugano are currently at the top of the standings.

Last week, the Federal Council permitted the continuation of training and games for teams operating in predominantly professional leagues. The Federal Office of Sports has specified that this also applies to the Women's League. Following clarifications with the home cantons of the teams, which in some cases had imposed stricter measures than the federal government, the Federal Council's ordinance now applies to all Women's League teams.

The championship of the Women's League can therefore be continued, in compliance with the existing protection concepts and with a maximum of 50 spectators.
