As SC Weinfelden writes on their website it would not have been possible for them to meet the financial ans structural requirements for their top women's team in the future. Therefore, a new and independent club has been founded to professionalize women's hockey in the Canton of Thurgau: The Thurgau Indien Ladies.

As a consequence, the team will move from Weinfelden to Kreuzlingen, the new home base of the Thurgau Indien Ladies. In addition to the SCW Ladies, also EHC Kreuzlingen-Konstanz from the SWHL-B will be integrated in the new organization, as a farm team with the name "Thurgau Ladies Academy".

But first, all the other teams of the respective leagues have to give their consent. Otherwise the transfer of the licenses of the SCW Ladies and EHC Kreuzlingen-Konstanz to the new organization will not be possible.
