Ambrì's Jiří Novotný set to return to Czechia next season

With his contract in Ambrì-Piotta coming to an end after this season, the time seems to have come for Jiří Novotný to return to his native country. "I am in contact with Budějovice, I won't deny it," the Czech forward says when asked about a possible return by iSport.cz.

Novotný has been part of HC Ambrì-Piotta since September 2018 when he joined them from HC Plzen on a two-month contract. He then went on to stay with them for almost three full seasons. This season, he recorded 13 points (four goals) in 38 games in white and blue.
