Wolski, released by the KHL's Kunlun Red Star at the beginning of December, suited up for HC Ambrì-Piotta at the Spengler Cup. The Biancoblù's semifinal opponent, HC Oceláři Třinec, will be the 33-year-old's new team, as he announced on Instagram today.

When HC Lugano's team manager Hnat Domenichelli announced that they were on the lookout for another import forward earlier this month, Wolski was said to be a candidate.
