(SWE) HockeyAllsvenskan

Despite relegation to the HockeyAllsvenskan, the two Swedes will return to Stockholm and play for their former club.

Marcus Krüger

While Daniel Brodin confirmed his commitment to Djurgården IF when asked about it after they were relegated, Marcus Krüger's decision was still pending. Today, the club once again confirmed the signing of both of the forwards currently engaged in Switzerland.

31-year-old Krüger left Djurgården in 2011 for the Chicago Blackhawks. Over a decade later and after a three-season stint with the ZSC Lions, he has signed a two-year deal (including an option for another two years) with his old and new club.

32-year-old Brodin moved away from Stockholm in 2019 and joined HC Fribourg-Gottéron. He, too, spent three seasons in Switzerland. For the next four years, the forward will now again be part of Djurgården IF.
