The 19-year-old has already taken part in the national team's first practice in Geneva today. He thus joins Switzerland's preparation for the World Championships. Kurashev recently signed an entry-level deal with the Blackhawks.

Kurashev was named the Quebec Remparts' player of the year. After the end of their season, the Swiss forward was signed to an ATO (Amateur Tryout Contract) by the Rockford IceHogs. He appeared in three games for them but did not get his name on the scoresheet.
