The officiating crew will also include two officials from the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation, referee Tobias Wehrli (photo) and linesman Nicolas Fluri. Wehrli, for his part, will be participating in his ninth World Championship.

All in all, the 32 on-ice officials come from 13 different countries. Canada, Finland, Russia and the United States are represented best with four officials each, followed by Sweden and Czechia with three each.

Twelve of the 16 nominated referees and eight of the linesmen already officiated at the recent 2018 Olympic Winter Games in South Korea, including Tobias Wehrli and Nicolas Fluri.
