The 17-year-old defenseman is apparently dealing with mononucleosis ("kissing disease"). He will be re-evaluated in Switzerland next week in order to get an exact diagnosis. It is thus not yet clear when Gross will be able to join the OHL team.
Gross was set to join the Generals next Monday. The product of EV Zug's system had been selected 40th overall by Oshawa in the 2017 CHL Import Draft.
