The 31-year-old defenseman sustained a leg injury in the second period of the game against Finland on Sunday. He was not able to finish the game. This World Championship thus far, he has appeared in six games for the Swiss national team.
As for Genazzi, he, too, returned to the locker room in the second period but was able to continue to play. The defenseman, according to Roth, should be ready to play against the Czechs.
