Janis Elsener suffered the injury due to a collision with Harri Pesonen. Elsener was not the only player missing in the SCL Tigers' lineup, though. The National League team had to make do without eleven of their players yesterday.
Melnalksnis, Saarela, Huguenin, Stettler, Zryd, and Zaetta are all injured, Grenier is currently in Montréal, as his wife has just given birth to their child, Mayer and Olofsson were listed as ill and Blaser was suspended. However, two players also made their comeback last night: Kay Schweri and Joël Salzgeber returned to the lineup.
As for Anthony Huguenin, he is done for the season. As Watson reports, he will have to undergo surgery. He has been dealing with back problems for a while. They have now detected that some vertebrae in the upper part of his back are shifted.
