Tom Gerber was injured in the 50th minute of play of the game against the GCK Lions on Tuesday. Gerber suffered the injury after being hit by GCK's Alexander Braun.
Gerber, the captain of EHC Winterthur, will be out of the lineup for at least five weeks. In ten games this season, the forward has recorded two goals and one assist.
