For this one bad news, there are two partially good updates from the infirmary. First, Swede Rickard Palmberg is already doing better after crashing headfirst in the boards a week ago. However, a concussion is still suspected. An endurance test will show how long Palmberg will be sidelined. HC Thurgau assumes in the best case it will be for several weeks, in the worst-case scenario for months.
The second partially good news is that Patrick Spannring did not suffer a herniated disc when he fell into the boards a week ago, contrary to initial fears. Due to his back injury, he will however miss probably about two weeks.
