Medical Report

Having missed almost the entire 2020-21 season due to a knee-injury, the player and the club still do not have a timeline for his return.

Matt D'Agostini: recovery or retirement?

"Everyone would like to know his recovery time, but we don't have an answer," HC Ambrì-Piotta's team manager Paolo Duca says when asked about his Canadian forward Matt D'Agostini in an interview with the Corriere del Ticino. "Today, it is impossible to give certain dates."

Already back in April media reports said that everything is possible for D'Agostini: from a full recovery to retirement. "We remain vigilant, evaluate as we go along and prepare for every scenario," Duca explains. "The situation is complicated for everyone: for the player, for the medical staff and for the club."

Paolo Duca also confirms that he is looking for two new import-players, a forward and a defenseman presumably. HC Ambrì-Piotta currently has two imports on their team: Matt D'Agostini ((CAN)) and Peter Regin ((DEN)). The contracts of Brian Flynn ((USA)) and Brandon Perlini ((CAN)/(GBR)) have expired.
