The Devils placed their 2017 number-one pick on injured reserve prior to last Tuesday's game against the Dallas Stars (0-2 loss). If Hischier will be activated off injured reserve ahead of Friday night's clash with the Colorado Avalanche, however, remains to be seen.

In 25 games with the Devils this season so far, Hischier was able to score five goals and eleven assists. Moreover, with 51.6%, he currently has the second-best faceoff win percentage of the team.
