Josi, defenseman for the Nashville Predators, broke his hand in the semifinal against Canada. To have him play in the final nonetheless, the Swiss national team had to ask the Predators for permission. Despite his injury, the 28-year-old was on the ice for almost 30 minutes and had an assist on both Swiss goals.

SC Bern-forward Simon Moser played with a broken finger. Fischer did not mention how that injury was sustained. Moser had a TOI of 14:37 in the final.
