Ryan Vesce had to leave Tuesday's Swiss Ice Hockey Cup game against SC Langenthal in the first period, Marcel Kuchta (Aargauer Zeitung) reports.

According to EHC Olten, the 35-year-old forward has been dealing with back problems since Monday and has received treatment for it - but to no avail. After a couple of shifts in Tuesday's game, he was unable to resume playing. Despite his absence, EHC Olten won their "Round of 32"-game against SC Langenthal 3-2 in overtime.
