31-year-old Tedenby will not sign a contract extension with Vityaz Podolsk.

Former HCD forward Mattias Tedenby

Mattias Tedenby would have had a contract in place with HC Davos for this season, but he decided to make use of his out clause in March 2020 in order to join the KHL team. In 54 games for Vityaz Podolsk, he recorded 17 goals and 18 assists.

Another Swede, who played in Switzerland, will also leave his team after only one season: Victor Backman, who used to play for the ZSC Lions' organization. As he tells Expressen, the Malmö Redhawks have decided to no longer count on him.

Backman would have had one year left on his contract with the SHL team, but they were not satisfied with his performance. He does not yet know what his future will hold, but "several clubs got in touch with me during the season and I know they are interested. It should probably be able to resolve itself."
