As Lillehammer IK from Norway's highest league announces today, the 30-year-old winger has agreed on a one-year deal through to the 2020-21 season. "It was not my primary plan, but I'm very happy that it developed like this. We live here, I have many relationships here, and I know everyone in the club very well," he explains.

Martinsen, who went through Lillehammer's youth organization, joined EV Zug's organization at the end of January 2020 following a four-and-a-half year stint in North America. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, however, the forward only only suited up in five games for the National League team, recording one goal. He also suited up in one game for the EVZ Academy.
