Citing an insider source, the Kleine Zeitung reports that the chances are pretty good that Martin Ulmer will join the EC Panaceo VSV as of next season. There are rumors that the management of the EBEL team has contacted EHC Olten about the forward.

Ulmer told the same newspaper three weeks ago that he would like to return to Austria. Technically, he has still one year left on his contract with the Mice. However, Marc Grieder made clear that he would let Ulmer leave if that was what he wanted.

Martin Ulmer, who is in possession of a Swiss players' license, last played in Austria in the 2010-11 season, when he suited up for the Vienna Capitals. Since 2011, he has been playing in Switzerland. Last season, he recorded eight goals and ten assists in 36 regular season games for EHC Olten.
