Rantakari himself is happy to return home: "This is the point where I have a lot of things that I haven't had for a long time," he explains. "I get to be in my hometown and my family and friends are close by."
In Switzerland, Rantakari not only suited up for HC Fribourg-Gottéron. In the 2019-20 season, he also played for HC Davos and EHC Biel. Overall, he appeared in 41 games in the National League, in which he scored eleven goals and added 16 assists.
