Uncertain future: Sven Andrighetto

Not happy with Andrighetto's performance and being tight on cap space, Avangard Omsk is considering sending the 27-year-old to their partner team in the VHL, Metallurg Novokuznetsk, for the pre-season, as the Russian news agency RIA Novosti is told by their sources. His Canadian teammate Taylor Beck is likely to face the same fate.

Together, Andrighetto and Beck make 160 million rubles (almost CHF 2.2 million) against a 900 million cap. Omsk has been negotiating a contract termination with the two of them for a while now. The possibility of sending them to the VHL is apparently a way to get them to agree, RIA Novosti writes.

The Swiss forward would have another year left on his two-year deal. In his first KHL-season, Andrighetto recorded 13 goals and 14 assists in 56 games.
