According to Aftonbladet, Mikkel Bødker has agreed to terms with HV71 and will play in the SHL next season. After two seasons in Switzerland with HC Lugano, the forward will thus face a new challenge.

In an interview with the Corriere del Ticino in April, Hnat Domenichelli, team manager of HC Lugano, revealed that the Dane would leave the team after the season and even considered retirement. It seems like, the forward has decided against the latter option.

In 44 games for the Bianconeri last season, Bødker recorded four goals and 20 assists. He also suited up for Denmark in the Olympic Games, recording one goal and one assist in five games.
