Lian Bichsel needed only a few months to convince Leksands IF to continue with him in the future. As reported by Blick, Leksands IF has signed Bichsel to a rookie contract valid for the next two seasons. The talented Swiss defender is projected to be drafted at the next NHL Entry Draft, possibly even in the first round.
In his first months in the organization of Leksands IF, Bichsel has suited up eleven times with the U20 squad, collecting seven points, and 21 times with the main squad, recording his first points (one goal and one assist) as a professional player.
