HC Lugano already announced the departure of Jani Lajunen at the end of April. The Finn has agreed to a two-year contract with Örebro HK, valid until the end of the 2022-23 season.

Lajunen suited up in 38 regular-season games for HC Lugano this season, recording nine goals and twelve assists. In the playoffs, he added one goal in five games to his tally.
