The eight players selected by head coach Harijs Vītoliņš are: defenders Nauris Sējējs (GCK Lions) and Sandis Smons (HC La Chaux-de-Fonds), and forwards Ronalds Ķēniņš (Lausanne HC), Deniss Smirnovs (Genève-Servette HC) Haralds Egle (SC Langenthal), Toms Andersons (HC La Chaux-de-Fonds), Rihards Melnalksnis (GCK Lions), and Oskars Lapinskis (SCL Tigers). Moreover, HC Ajoie's assistant coach Petteri Nummelin will lend a hand to Vītoliņš.
Latvia will play the first game of the tournament on Friday, December 16 against Norway. Their second game will be played on Saturday, December 17 against the host Slovakia.
