The 17-year-old Canadian-Swiss center and 43 other talents are going to compete for a chance to represent the Maple Leaf at the upcoming 2019 Hlinka Gretzky Cup in Czechia and Slovakia in August. The selection camp will be held July 26-30 at the MacPhail Centre in Calgary.

Théo Rochette, a product of Lausanne HC and the son of former referee Stéphane Rochette, just played his first year with the Chicoutimi Saguenées in North America's Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), for which he managed to put up 18 goals and 30 assists in 63 games.

This past season, the youngster also suited up in six games for the Swiss U18-national team, recording one goal and two assists. The full roster of Canada's U18-team selection camp can be found here.
