Peter Forsberg retired from professional hockey in 2011 after quite an impressive career. Two Olympic gold medals, two Stanley Cups, and two World Championships victories are amongst his accomplishments. About four years ago, the former forward settled down near Zug.

EV Zug has now been able to announce that Forsberg has assumed the position of official ambassador for their development project, "The Hockey Academy".

"Peter Forsberg is a legend in his own right. With his name and his person, he is the perfect ambassador for "The Hockey Academy", even beyond the country's borders. He has incredible know-how and brings years of experience from the NHL and the national team", EVZ's team manager Reto Kläy states.

Both of Forsberg's sons play in Zug's youth department.
