From Thursday, December 2, the extended mask obligation applies in the canton of St.Gallen for all publicly accessible indoor areas. The SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers are therefore also affected by this measure. The Lakers' next home game will be this Saturday against Fribourg-Gottéron.
As for EHC Olten's and HC Thurgau's home games, the requirement to wear a mask inside the arenas and in their surroundings will begin today and respectively on Friday, as decided by the canton of Solothurn and of Thurgau. Moreover, also EHC Visp has in the meantime introduced, like their neighbors HC Sierre in the Graben arena, the obligation to wear a mask in the Lonza arena.
These decisions taken by the various cantonal governments anticipate what the Federal Council will probably announce on Friday, as the Swiss government has already been put in consultation the reintroduction of the requirement to wear a mask at indoor events.
